David P Plum

Byron, IL, The family and friends say goodbye to the beloved David Plum, who passed away at the age of 90 on the 16th day of July, 2025 in Byron, IL. David was born on April 8, 1935 in Rockford, IL the son of Lowell W. & Velda (Windle) Plum. After college Dave started working with his father (Lowell) at Plum Electric, and he worked as a pipefitter for Kable Printing Company until retiring as a maintenance tech. He enjoyed reading, learning and teaching anything & everything, motorcycling, pyrotechnics, and traveling with his charming bride Karen.

David is survived by his two sons: Randy and Rob Plum, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Karen Anderson-Plum and son: Christopher.

The graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday July 22, 2025 in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Rodney Caldwell officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time in Oakwood Cemetery on July 22, 2025.
