Mt. Morris, IL, David Allen Jones passed away on November 16, 2017 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Dave was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 29, 1942. Dave was raised in Princeton, Sterling and Dixon, Illinois as a boy and later moved to California where he spent most of his life. In his later years, Dave moved to Ohio and then back to Illinois. Dave was extremely talented in many areas of life. He was a master tool and die maker for most of his career. He was a creative inventor, an artist, poet, and loved to tinker in his work shop. Dave loved the Lord and was active in choirs, Bible studies, and other activities. Dave was a dedicated and loving husband and father and served the Lord at Pinecrest in spite of his physical challenges. He was preceeded in death by his late wife Betty and son, Marshall. He is survived by his first wife, Joy, their three children Allan, Scott (wife, Gloria), and Tamara, as well as their two grandchildren Marshall Junior, and Kierra, and his current wife, Carole Reisinger-Jones. He is also survived by his brothers: Ted (Kris), Randy (Thelma), and Cliff (Linda). The last four years Dave and Carole have resided at Pinecrest Community in Mount Morris, Illinois. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 1:00 pm at Lost Lake Community Church of the Nazerene, 90 W. Flagg Road (corner of Flagg and Lowden Road). Memorials have been established for the Good Samaritan Fund at the Pinecrest Community Home, 414 S. Wesley Avenue, Mount Morris, Ill. 61054.
