Mt. Morris, IL, Curtis C. Krueger, age 87, died Friday April 18, 2014 in the Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL. Curtis was born April 1, 1927 in Rockford, IL the Son of Lewis & Alvina (Miller) Krueger. Curtis married Lorraine E. Allen on May 20, 1948 in Mt. Morris, IL, and they were married for 66 years. Curtis served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1946 earning the Victory Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon. He was a pressman's helper working at Kable Printing Company, Mt. Morris, IL for 46 ½ years retiring in 1992. Curtis is a member of the VFW. Curtis is survived by his wife: Lorraine Krueger, Mt. Morris, IL; Sons: Jeffrey (Malinda) Krueger, Royalton, IL; Dennis (Tena) Krueger, Leaf River, IL; David Krueger, Mt. Morris, IL; James (Risa) Krueger, Byron, IL; and Daughter: Mary Lou (Gary) Meier, Milledgeville, IL. Grandchildren: Rachel Vallance, Winnebago, IL; Justin (Elizabeth) Krueger, Cherry Valley, IL; Melissa (Tim) Peebels, Royalton, IL; Andy (Rie) Raum, Norfolk, VA; Jaime Raum, Polo, IL; Megan Krueger, Fairbault, MN; Curtis Krueger, Leaf River, IL. Great grandchildren: Trevor, Chase, Morgan, Brooke, and Aubrey, Winnebago, IL; Makayla Meier, Milledgeville, IL; Jase Meier, Milledgeville, IL; Jared Krueger, Cherry Valley, IL; Emma Krueger, Cherry Valley, IL. Sisters: JoAnne Krueger, Dallas, TX and Darlene Knodle, Sun City, AZ. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Elywn and Maurice; sisters: Betty and Lois. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Dwight Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 5:30 P.M. till service time in Finch Funeral Home.
