Christopher Jacob Ferg, 55, of Frankfort, IL passed away of a heart attack on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Soulmate to girlfriend, Julie Reece, positive role model to her children, Aaron and Allison Reece, Chris will be remembered for the laughter, smiles, and love he brought to their household.
Chris was a dedicated truck driver for G&D Integrated for the last 5 years. He had an unwavering passion for the Chicago White Sox and most days had on their T-shirt and baseball cap to prove it.
Chris found great joy in cooking for his family, especially delicious Italian food he learned from his grandma Flora as a young boy. He spent hours watching his favorite chefs on Food Network and recreating their dishes. He often thought he missed his true calling.
Chris had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially big dogs and the pit bulls he owned throughout his life.
Chris loved live music and got to cross many bands off his bucket list this year including: U2 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Metallica, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Maroon 5, Maren Morris, and Sammy Hagar.
Chris is survived by his sister Cheri (Eric) Gutbrod, brother Cliff (Pam) Ferg, nephews and nieces: Matthew, Zachary, Ashley, and Gina. Chris is preceded in death by his parents Barbara & Neil Ferg, grandparents Robert & Nancy Marcell, and Henry & Flora Ferg. Chris leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength, and humor through his relationship with Julie and the many lives he touched. A celebration of life White Sox game outing will be planned for this summer.
