Charles E Kump Jr

Oregon, IL, Charles E. Kump Jr., age 77, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL. Charles was born June 2, 1940 in Oregon Township, IL the son of Charles E. & Florence E. (Steffa) Kump. He lived in the area all his life and was a self-employed carpenter. Charles served in the US Army for 2 years. He was a member of the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge #1551, Carpenter's Union. When Charles was not working he spent time watching old classic westerns. Charles is survived by his children: Rhonda (Pat) Marshall, Byron, IL; Steve (Ruth) Kump, Kenosha, WI; Kelly (Don) Yocum, Dixon, IL; Katrina Nordman, Iowa City, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother: Robert (Hannah) Kump, Mt. Morris, IL. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Dick and Chris Kump; and 2 sisters: Janet and Tutty. Memorial services will be held Friday October 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Julie Bunt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.
