Catherine Eva Gutshell

Mt. Morris, IL, Catherine Eva Gutshall, age 94, passed away peacefully in her home on October 6, 2019. Catherine was born on February 18, 1925 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Clarence & Viva (Edwards) Carson, Catherine was a sister to brothers: Clarence Jr. and Eugene; she was also a sister to Francis. Catherine married Robert Gutshall on May 19, 1941 and lived in Stillman Valley, IL; also living in Leaf River, IL and then moving to Mt. Morris, IL. Catherine was a loving mother to 5 sons: Robert, James, Gary (Karen), David, and Charles Gutshall; and 1 daughter: Barbara (Ralph "Pappy") Cardott. She was a grandma to Airia (Tony) King, Amanda (Derrick) Irvin, Anita (Dan Carpenter) Burgett, Sebrina (Christopher) Smith, and several more; she was also a great grandma to Abigail Burgett, Skyler Miller, Mona Miller, Autumn Irvin, Kobe Smith, and so many more. Catherine was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, and sister. Celebration of life will be held on October 16, 2019 at 1 P.M. in the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge.
