Carolyn Sue Jacobs 78, of Mt. Morris passed away on December 12, 2023 at Allure of Pinecrest in Mt. Morris, IL.

She was born November 3, 1945 in Oregon, IL and was the daughter of Alvin “Pete” and Lillian (Merritt) Black. Carolyn was married to Barry M. Jacobs in October 1961 in Oregon, IL. She was a member of the Oregon High School class of 1963.

Carolyn retired in 2013 from Halo Branded Solutions of Sterling, IL.

Survivors include; son Barry Jacobs, grandsons; Michael (Sarah) and Matthew Jacobs, daughter-in-law Melony Jacobs, sister Judy Burger, sisters-in-law Pam and Linda Black, nieces and nephews; Derek, Tammie, Robert (Dave), David (Debra), Stacie (Heather) and Brian Black, and David and Pam Leonardy. Numerous cousins including a special cousin Jerry Cerasani and great nieces and nephews; Lilly, Lucy, Hannah, Chloe, Brandon, Devin, Madyson, Kennedy, Connor and Haylee Black, Melina, Danielle and Emilia Leonardy. She was preceded in death by her son Terry, daughter-in-law Barbara Jacobs, parents, brothers Karl and Gary Black.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am at Finch Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, IL. Burial of cremains will be held immediately after the visitation at Grand Detour Cemetery in Grand Detour, IL. Memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
