Carol L Smith

Carol Smith, 79, formerly of Belvidere, passed away on January 3, 2023. Carol retired from AG Communications in Genoa, Illinois. She was one who was always on the go. She loved to visit friends and family. She always looked forward to her breakfast meetings at Mc Donalds with her “crew”. Carol was a kind hearted woman who did what she could for others. She left a lot of great memories with all of those who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased in death by her parents Joseph and Constance Greenlee, her 2 children Carl Greenlee and Brenda Smith, 4 siblings Hazel Smith, Larry Greenlee, Kevin Greenlee and Charles Greenlee, and 1 nephew Richard Smith. She left behind 3 brothers Kenneth Greenlee of Rockford Illinois, Robert Groves of Freeport Illinois and Richard Greenlee of Bremerton, Washington. 3 grandchildren: Brittney Menges of Oregon Illinois, Jacob (Yeimy) Menges of Casa Grande Arizona and Ethan (Jordan) Menges of Roscoe Illinois. 2 nieces: Angela Figueroa of Freeport Illinois and Georgina Greenlee of Perth Australia. 3 great-grandchildren: Ava Menges, Sawyer Menges-Olson and Greysun Menges-Olson.

A Celebration of Life/Luncheon will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the American Legion, 900 W Chrysler Drive, Belvidere Illinois from 1-4pm.
