Carol Hagemann

Carol Hagemann, 83, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2025 at Pinecrest nursing home. Carol was born on July 2nd, 1941 to George and Florence Koning in Freeport, IL. Carol married her husband, Virgil Hagemann, in June of 1966. Carol and Virgil went on to have 3 sons, Gregory, Todd, and Chad. She worked as a nurses aide in the 1980’s. Carol was a proud resident of Mt. Morris, IL.

If you were looking for her she was either at home or church. She loved spending time with her husband before he passed away in 1992. After that, she spent most of her time either at church or spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol was caring, goofy, loving and the most loyal person you would ever meet. She would do anything for anyone without any questions asked.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Hagemann; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Bill, Bob, and Doris; as well as her parents, George and Florence Koning.

Carol is survived by her sister, Darlene (Thomas) Furst and her brother Larry (Romona) Koning; her 3 sons, Gregory (Heather) Hagemann, Todd (Kathy McNames) Hagemann, and Chad Hagemann; as well as her grandsons Christopher, Timothy, Devin, Zach (Carley), and Jacob (Ruby), and her granddaughter Bailey.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday February 8th, 2025 from 2-4pm at Evangelical Free Church in Mt. Morris, IL.
