Byron, IL Carlos Hernandez, age 70, died Tuesday April 8, 2014 in his home. Carlos was born in Pueblo Pue, Mexico on March 26, 1944 the son of Carlos & Anna Maria (Cuevas) Hernandez. Carlos married Mary Beth Penn on June 12, 1974 in Leaf River, IL. Carlos work as a set-up and operator for Austin Westran in Byron, IL for 34 years retiring in 2008. He was devoted family man, loved boxing and soccer. Carlos is survived by his wife: Mary Beth Hernandez, Byron, IL; Daughter: Penny Rose Mathes, Altus, OK. 3 Grandchildren: Brianna Marie White, Roscoe, IL; Adam Mosley and Andrea Mathes of Missouri. Brother: Jose Luis (Clara) Hernandez De Cuevas, Puebla, Pue, Mexico. 3 Sisters: Gloria Hernandez, Puebla, Pue, Mexico; Anna Maria (Arturo) Hernandez De Melendez, Puebla, Pue, Mexico; Susanna Hernandez, Rockford, IL. Carlos is preceded in death by his Parents; and Daughter: Cassandra Marie Hernandez-White; Brother: Enrique Hernandez. Funeral services will be Saturday April 12, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL 61054 with Father Howard Barch Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Saturday April 12, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in Finch Funeral Home. Memorials to be determined.
