Mt. Morris, IL, Carl E. Gustafson, age 75, died April 2, 2014 in his home. Carl was born January 3, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Gordon & Elsie (Drossard) Gustafson. Carl graduated from high school in 1957, and then entered in to the US Navy for 2 years. He married Laura Forte on December 31, 1960 in Evanston, IL. Carl worked as a truck driver for Personalized Pick Up Service in Elk Grove Village, IL for 25+ years. Carl worked for Oregon Healthcare Pharmacy Inc, Oregon, IL for 7 years as a driver. Carl was in a motorcycle club, Rock River Riders, Oregon, IL, collected rare collectables, spending time with his beloved grandchildren and family. He belonged to the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge #1551, American Legion in Oregon, IL. And loved his time in Wisconsin. Carl is survived by his wife: Laura Gustafson, Mt. Morris, IL. 4 daughters: Marlene (James) Anderson, Sandyville, OH; Sylvia (Eduardo) Correa, Burr Ridge, IL; Jorie (Kerry) Langlois, Streamwood, IL; and Koren (Jeremy) Bell, Wood Dale, IL. 11 Grandchildren, (Danielle, Amanda, Lauren, Chelsea, Cody, Tyler, Alexandra, Dylan, Chloe, Isabela and Lily) 13 great-grandchildren. 2 Brothers: Raymond Gustafson, Chicago, IL and Arnold Gustafson, Hazel Park, Michigan. 1 Sister: Rita (Timothy) Almond, North Wilkesboro, NC. Several Nieces and Nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother: Walter, and Sister: Elaine Malenfant, Brother in Law and Best Friend: Grant Forte and other brother in law, Thomas Forte. Funeral services will be Sunday April 6, 2014 at 3 PM in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Josh Erhler officiating. Visitation will be Sunday April 6, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials to be determined.
