Mt. Morris, IL - Bruce W. Crum Jr., age 70, died October 3, 2010, in his Home. Bruce was born December 6, 1939, the son of Bruce W. & Dorothy (Meckley) Crum Sr. in Belvidere, IL. Bruce graduated from Belvidere High School Class of 1957. He Married Carol J. Overman September 26, 1959 in Belvidere, IL. Bruce worked for 26 years for the Moline Corporation Foundry in maintenance department retiring in 1991. Bruce was the Owner/ Operator of "The Idle Hour" in Mt. Morris from 1992-2008. Bruce has lived in Mt. Morris for 18 years coming from the Belvidere area. He was a member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge. Survivors: Wife, Carol Crum, Mt. Morris, IL. 3 Daughters: Becky (John) Griffith, East Moline, IL; Cassie Stevens, Rockford,IL; Peggy (Samuel) Reynolds, Winnebago, IL. 1 Son: James Crum, Byron, IL. 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Bonnie Cornwell, Belvidere, IL. Preceded in death by Parents and 1 sister: Betty Smith. Memorial service will be Friday October 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Doc Newcomb officiating. Visitation will be Friday in the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. till service time. In Lieu of flowers memorials to the Mt. Morris Ambulance.
