Beverly Kay Long

Mt. Morris, IL, Beverly Kay Long, age 68, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL. Bev was born on January 6, 1958 in Oregon, IL; the daughter of Hubert Eugene & Betty Lou (Miller) Long.

Bev graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1977, and she attended Christian Bible College. She worked in home health care for Tri-County and Helping Home.

Bev loved to crochet, loved going to church, baking, and spending time with her family, her cat Daisy was her best friend.

Bev is survived by her mother: Betty Wells, Mt. Morris, IL; 3 brothers: Hubert (Rusty) (Linda) Long, Oregon, IL, Roger (Sally) Long, Mt. Morris, IL, and Ralph (Kathy) Long, Mt. Morris, IL; 2 sisters: Barbara Long, Byron, IL and Sharon Goley, Leaf River, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father: Hubert Long; brother-in-law: John Goley; and nephew: Andrew Long.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be held in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. A visitation will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.
