Mt. Morris, IL - Betty J. Mumma, 77, died February 22, 2010 at Pinecrest Manor. She was born January 27, 1933 in Mt. Morris, the daughter of David and Ruth (Stover) Messer. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School, class of 1951. She married Kenneth E. Mumma on October 4, 1974 in Mt. Morris, IL. She retired from Watt Publishing where she had been employed as a clerk. She is a lifelong resident of the community. She is survived by one Aunt: Rachel Duncan, Mt. Morris, IL; Special Friends: Carol Davis and Judy Nixon. Also, her cats: Jack & Buffy. Predeceased by her parents, husband and special friend Lucille Holsinger. Services will be Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Bruce McKanna officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, IL. Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. till service time.
