Barbara J "Bobby" Penn

Leaf River, Barbara J. "Bobby" Penn, age 84, died Saturday August 29, 2015 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL. Barbara was born March 21, 1931 in Lawrence County, Arkansas the daughter of Ozro & Effie (Lingo) Goodwin. She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School, AR the class of 1948. Barbara married Joe T. Penn on July 1, 1949 in Lynn, Arkansas. Joe preceded her in death on January 27, 1990. She worked at Kysor of Byron for 22 years. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. Barbara is survived by her Daughter: Beth Hernandez; Son: Steve (Nancy) Penn; Daughter: Lorna (Jeff) Parker, all of Leaf River, IL; Daughter: Julie (Steve) Cornelius, Clinton, WI; Daughter: Karen Penn, Rockford, IL and she was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, sister, daughter: Karla, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday September 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 2, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home.
