B Patricia Hokanson

B. Patricia Hokanson, age 79, died Saturday June 18, 2016 in Oregon Living and Rehabilitation center, Oregon, IL. Pat was born November 27, 1936 in Washington D.C. the daughter of Edgar F. & Mary E. (Bornman) Seay. Pat graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1954 and then she received a BA from Governor's State University, Chicago, IL. Pat married Ted Pearce which they had 3 children, and then she married Arthur Hokanson and they had 2 children. Pat worked as a Social Worker for Visiting Nurses Association of Rockford, Il for 20 years. She was a member of Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, IL where she was a lay caregiver; Pat also volunteered doing nails at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. She was a member of Mt. Morris Women of The Moose, Oregon VFW Ladies Auxiliary; she loved rubber-stamping, painting, and pogo. Patricia is survived by her Children: Rick (Sue) Pearce, Rockford, IL; Michael (Robin) Pearce, Oregon, IL; Shari Ball, Mt. Morris, IL; Sandra Goodwin, Mt. Morris, IL. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat is preceded in death by Parents; Both Husbands: Ted and Arthur; daughter: Sue Hokanson; Sister: Mary Lou Saldecki; Brother: Marvin Seay. A private family service will be held at a later date per the wishes of Pat. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.
