Mount Morris, IL - Andrew John "Andy" Vaughn, 25, of Mount Morris died Saturday, April 11, 2009, in Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center, Rock Island. Born Feb. 1, 1984, in Rockford, the son of Gordon and Marcia (Griffin) Vaughn. A lifelong member of the community, Andy worked as a roll tender in the offset press room at Quebecor Printing for five years. Member of the Graphic Arts International Union. He graduated from Oregon High School, Class of 2002. Andy was a very caring and outgoing person with a big heart. He loved listening to the Beatles, was an avid skateboarder, snowboarder and NASCAR fan. Survivors include grandmothers, Francis Vaughn of Oregon and Merlene Griffin of Mount Morris; sister, Reanna (Chuck) Brant of Crandall, Ga.; a very special niece, Megan Brant of Crandall; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandfathers, Venus Vaughn and Donald Griffin. Service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt St., with visitation from 5 p.m. to service time; the Rev. David Rogula will officiate. Cremation afterwards. Memorials to be established.
