Mount Morris, IL - Agnes LaVange Worthen, 100, of Mount Morris died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. Born Feb. 22, 1911, in St. Joseph County, Ind., to Ben Baughman and Mertie (Steele) Baughman. Graduate of North Liberty (Ind.) High School, Class of 1929. Married George G. Worthen on Jan. 10, 1931, in Rochester, Ind.; he died Feb. 19, 1995. Employed as a activity therapist at Elgin Mental Health Center, retiring in 1971. Lived in area since 1998, coming from Rockford. Member of Church of The Brethren. She was active in the music and children's department of the church, and was a house parent for the Brethren Fellowship House in Elgin. Agnes also volunteered at Pinecrest Manor. Survived by son, Howard D. Worthen of Smithville, Ohio; daughter, Mary Lynn Farris of Fullerton, Calif.; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Manola Harbaugh of South Bend, Ind., Norma Harmon of Clearwater, Fla., and Audra (Loyal) Fields of South Bend. Predeceased also by her parents, and brothers, Ralph and Carrol Baughman. Service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home Chapel; the Rev. Richard G. Bright, chaplain, will officiate. Memorials to Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. Arrangements by Finch Funeral Home. Service: Wednesday, April 20, 2011 2 p.m. Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home Chapel
