Ruth A Meyer

Ruth A. Meyer died May 3, 2019 at the Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport, IL. She was born December 4, 1926, in Rockford, Illinois. Parents were John J. and Gladys (Morrison) Meyer. Ruth lived in Pecatonica the first 8 years of her life, moved to Haldane, IL in Lincoln Township in Ogle County, attended country school, graduated from Polo Community High School in 1944. After retiring from Standard Oil, she moved to Mt. Morris, IL. She spent winters in Arizona, enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and meeting with her many friends, neighbors and cousins. She was a member of the West Branch Church of the Brethren. Predeceased by parents and brother Joe. Survivors are sister, Jean, Freeport, brother Russell (Claudia), Phoenix AZ, niece Minette (Jeff) Lampton, CA and nephew Frank (Risti) Meyer and their sons Malachi, Matthias and Maximus, Dubai,U.A.E. Memorials may be sent to West Branch Church or Village of Progress, Oregon, IL. There will be no Funeral Service, and burial will be in the Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Seward, IL.
