Lavere "Fuzz" Watson

Mt. Morris, IL, LaVere "Fuzz" Watson, age 93, passed away Tuesday January 29, 2019 in KSB Hospital, Dixon, IL. LaVere was born on August 29, 1925 to William & Eva (Newcomer) Watson in Forreston, IL. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1942. LaVere served in the US Army and was a proud WWII veteran. LaVere married Mary Jane Carlson on July 31, 1955 in Grand Detour, IL. He was a farmer for most of his life and was a welder for Etnyre and Woods in Oregon, IL for many years. LaVere was an avid fisherman who was always willing and enjoyed teaching others the joy of fishing. LaVere was an honest and just man who believed in the power of prayer and the grace of God. LaVere is survived by his wife: Mary Jane Watson; son: James (Peggy) Watson of Mt. Morris, IL; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and one great great-grandson. LaVere is predeceased by his parents; one sister; and son: John. No services are planned at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.
