Gail P Rasmussen

Rochelle, IL, Gail Paulette Rasmussen, age 72, passed away on April 20, 2022 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL.  Gail was born on June 5, 1949 in Oregon, IL, the daughter of Mervin (Gene) & Velma (Cole) Spangler.  She graduated from Oregon High School class of 1967 and later she received an associates from Sauk Valley Community College, Sterling, IL.

Gail married Edward F. Rasmussen on July 16, 2002 in Oregon, IL.  She worked as a laborer for Wahl Clipper.  Gail loved gardening, shooting, hunting, bird watching, and rescuing her beloved cats.

Gail is survived by her husband: Edward F. Rasmussen, Rochelle, IL; sons: Jimmie C. (Angela) Austin II, Dixon, IL; Michael L. Austin, Dixon, IL; daughters: Diane G (Kenneth) Urnik, DeMotte, IN; Kathy A (Dusty) Ehrler, Rome, GA; step-sons: Michael E (Monica) Rasmussen, Dixon, IL; and Rick A (Bonnie) Rasmussen, Eldena, IL; grandchildren: Danielle M Urnik, Kenneth J Urnik, Nicklaus A Urnik, Devan G May, Tesla M (Nathan) Weaver, Cathryn E Austin, Dianne G Austin, Kortney L Graham, Breanna S Martin, Annabelle N Roath, Seth M Austin, and several step-grandchildren; great grandchildren: Xander, Maleena, Natalie, Wyatt, Cirilla, David, and Hayden; sister: Vicki C Bolhous, Oregon, IL.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Craig F Spangler; and sister: Shirley M Wilson.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
